Project Overview

For the residence at 17557 100 Avenue, Markley Construction was engaged to rework the central living space with a focus on architectural millwork and integrated fireplace design. The goal was to enhance both form and function, bringing visual consistency and practical storage to the forefront.

Scope of Work

1. Feature Wall Construction

A new electric fireplace unit was set within a restructured feature wall designed for clean alignment and material balance. Trim and surface finishes were kept minimal to support a cohesive, modern character.

2. Custom Cabinetry & Open Shelving

Deep navy built-in cabinets were installed on both sides of the fireplace, complemented by natural oak floating shelves. This configuration offers both enclosed storage and open display while maintaining a clear visual hierarchy.

3. Material Selections & Finishing Details

All finishes were selected to introduce depth and warmth without overwhelming the room’s proportions. The cabinetry and shelving were fabricated in-house by Markley Construction and finished to harmonize with adjacent architectural elements.

Project Outcome

The living area now features a well-proportioned and carefully detailed wall assembly that provides storage, warmth, and visual clarity. The project reflects Markley Construction’s in-house millwork capabilities, and the value of integrated design solutions tailored to residential settings.
